To proceed with the replacement of the battery for the remote control key of a Toyota Auris car, you will first need to remove the metal key contained inside the casing. Press the button located on the side edge of the remote control, this will allow you to extract the key. At this point, use the tip of the same key to open the casing; insert the tip of the key into the groove on the upper edge of the casing (short side) and lever it open. You will now have access to the battery compartment, remove the cover on it and proceed with the extraction and replacement. The required battery model is a CR 2032 flat type with 3V.
