How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorbers

Model: Toyota Aygo MK 1, Ab10 - Years 2005-2014

Place the car on a ramp and lift it to a comfortable working height. Remove the rear wheel corresponding to the shock absorber you want to replace. Use a hydraulic jack to lift the wheel rim to relieve tension on the shock absorber. Open the boot and lower the rear seat, moving the small rear shelf. Remove the trim from the wall corresponding to the side of the shock absorber. Unscrew the top of the shock absorber using the appropriate spanners. Now unscrew the bolt that connects the shock absorber to the wheel. At this point, you can extract the old shock absorber and replace it with the new one. Repeat all the steps in reverse order to reassemble all the parts. The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a Toyota Aygo.
