Part: Shock absorbers
Operation: How to replace rear shock absorbers on Toyota Aygo

To replace the rear shock absorbers on our Toyota aygo, we must first remove the rear wheels. We keep the car safely supported on jacks, do not trust our jack too much and put the tires under the car. We open the trunk and remove the upholstery on the internal side pillar, using a screwdriver to remove the plastic clips. Unscrew the fastener of the rear hood side trim, and then disconnect it. Remove the shock absorber upper mount bracket boot and unscrew it using a combination wrench. Now clean the shock absorber fasteners with a wire brush, and then spray some WD-40. Now support the rear suspension cross member. With a socket wrench of 17, screw the lower fixing element of the shock absorber. Remove the dust cover and bumper from the shock absorber, and replace them if necessary. Before installation, the shock absorber must be manually bled 4/5 times. Now install the dust cover and dynamic flex limiter on the new shock absorber. Treat the mounting locations with a wire brush and the WD-40. now then place the shock absorber in the wheel arch and fix it. Tighten the lower shock mount securely with a 17mm socket wrench. Screw in the upper shock absorber fasteners. Now you can remove the rear support support. While we're on, clean the rim support before putting the wheels back in, and sprinkle some copper grease. Screw the wheels back on, tighten the top fixing and put the luggage compartment upholstery back in place. Screw the wheels back on. Job finished.
