How to Fix the Buttons on Your Car Remote Key

First, purchase the plastic membrane that covers the buttons of the car remote key, which in this case is a Toyota. You can do this on sites like eBay. Unscrew the screws that secure the key/remote cover. Carefully open the cover using a screwdriver. Position the membrane so that the buttons and the screw hole align with those on the remote cover. Close the covers and screw in the screws that secure them. The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a Toyota Rav 4.
