To disable traction control on the Toyota RAV 4, first, turn on the engine by turning the key in the ignition switch. Once the engine and instrument panel are on, press and hold the button located on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel, which has the icon of a skidding car. You need to hold this button for about three seconds until you hear a beep and the corresponding warning light appears on the instrument panel.

To reactivate it, simply press the button a second time.
