The correct sequence for parking with a car with automatic transmission

In this video we see how 90% of people do not use an automatic transmission correctly. Many inexperienced drivers, after parking the car, directly shift from "D" to "P" and then pull the handbrake. This parking maneuver is not correct, because the entire vehicle's weight will be on the gear locking mechanism, not on the handbrake. When we restart the vehicle by shifting gears, we will hear a strong "click" and it will be difficult to reinsert "D": if we continue to act this way, the transmission will be damaged. The correct sequence to follow is instead: shift from "D" to "N", pull the handbrake, and only then put the lever in the "P" position.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
