How to remove rust from vehicles

The main causes of rust appearing on the vehicle body are due to the corrosion of certain areas that are often damaged by stones and gravel bouncing off the vehicle, which can scratch it. Other causes are to be blamed on sudden changes in climate, as going from very cold to very hot temperatures increases the risk of corrosion. Another cause is the loss of properties of anti-corrosion products used as protective coating on the bodywork. If you want to repair the parts damaged by rust, the products to buy are: degreaser, putty, spatulas, sandpaper, insulating tape, polishing paste, paint, lacquer, and rust inhibitor. Sand the affected area with coarse sandpaper until the metal layer appears, apply the rust inhibitor to the affected area and mix putty and hardener. Apply the product and smooth the surface, cover the areas not to be treated with paper, degrease and prepare the area. Using fine sandpaper, sand the surface to make it smooth and even. Apply a layer of paint and lacquer if necessary. Finish with polishing. Although corrosion is inevitable, there are still tricks that allow us to prevent corrosion. Among these, frequently check the bodywork, remove deposited dirt, and treat the areas with anti-corrosion products.
