Why is my car's turn signal flashing quickly?

This video tells us that when the arrow flashes quickly, this is a symptom of a burnt-out bulb: its filament breaks and this interrupts the circuit in that bulb, drastically reducing the electrical load on that side. The control unit detects this lower resistance and interprets this problem as a failure. To clearly and immediately alert the driver, it doubles the flashing speed of the indicators (both on the dashboard and outside). This failure can affect all turn signals, not just the rear one: on some models, even the side position light could be involved. Other causes could be a loose or oxidized bulb holder; damaged wiring, or an LED bulb installed without an adapter (their much lower consumption misleads the control unit).
