How to Get the Spring of a Flip Key Working Again

This video shows how to get a flip key spring that no longer works functioning again: first, open the remote with a flat screwdriver; excessive force is not needed, the two halves separate with light pressure. Hold the key button against the rear shell to prevent the spring from disengaging, and fully open the shell, exposing the spring mechanism. If the spring is loose, wind it counter-clockwise: usually, two full turns are enough to restore tension. Ensure the spring is securely hooked in its slot (there's a small channel where it should fit). While holding the spring in position with one hand, align the other half of the shell. Press gently until you hear a "click". Press the button: the key should pop out with force.
