How to Free a Jammed Hood

Here’s an emergency solution to unlock a jammed electric hood. Many convertible cars have a release mechanism designed for situations like this. Locate the release lever (usually one on each side) and rotate or pull them, often in the opposite direction to the lock. As suggested, it is crucial to have a helper to pull the levers on both sides. Once the levers are released, the hood is no longer bound to the electric motors, allowing you to manually lift the rear frame of the hood to close it completely or lower it fully to open it. It requires force, but be careful not to force it if something does not move.
