How to Install a New TPMS Sensor Without Rebalancing

This is an interesting and unconventional procedure. Usually, to install a TPMS sensor, it is recommended to remove the tyre from the rim and rebalance it after replacement. However, there is a DIY method that avoids rebalancing, provided you are very precise. Completely deflate the tyre, break the seal at the valve (detach the bead from the rim at that point). Remove the old stem/sensor; install the new sensor; reseal the tyre (reattach the bead and inflate); check for leaks and allow the sensor to recalibrate by driving for a few minutes. Since the tyre is not completely removed, and the position relative to the rim remains unchanged, balancing is not necessary.
