To clear the Service light on a Hummer H3, insert the ignition key into the lock and turn it to activate the instrument cluster without starting the engine. At this point, press the accelerator pedal all the way down three times in quick succession.

You will notice that the Service light will be cleared and the oil indicator will be fully reset. You can also verify that the Service light reset has been successful by turning the ignition off and then back on.
