Removing the Gear Knob of a Car

In this video tutorial, you will learn how to remove and replace the gear knob of a car. First, remove the top part of the knob: remove the gear gaiter by prising it with something thin, then pull it upwards; usually, the gear knob is held by a clip that you will need to cut. Then pull the gear knob off the car. If it does not come off, extract the entire metal rod, then place it in a vice and use a puller or a hammer to extract the knob, as shown in the video.
