Regularly checking the engine oil level in the reservoir is very important as it allows you to top it up in a timely manner and thus avoid potential engine damage. The operation itself is very simple and can be done in a few seconds, but it requires some precautions. For example, the check must be performed with the engine off and cold, both for safety reasons and to avoid inaccurate oil level readings. Once you have taken the necessary precautions, get a clean cloth and lift the front bonnet. Remove the oil dipstick and clean it with the cloth. Then insert it fully back into the reservoir and remove it again to carefully check the oil level.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
