In this video, we will see how to check the engine oil level. It is good to do this on average once a month, in order to monitor any leaks. It should be done with the car cold, so that the oil is all in the sump. Most cars have a physical dipstick, only an elite of vehicles have an electronic dipstick. So, once we have found the dipstick, we pull it out and clean it with a piece of paper, then we put the dipstick back into its housing, pull it out again and check the oil level. On the dipsticks, we always find an indication of "min" and "max". The correct level is found near "max", never above it. If there is a little oil missing, we put the dipstick back in place, open the oil cap, and using a funnel, we top it up, adding a little at a time, then we measure the level again, put the dipstick back until it stops, and the job is done.
