To replace the remote key battery, the procedure is generally the same for various types of keys. If you have a classic key that fits into the lock, use a pointed object to pry open the key fob along the seam. Once opened, you will have access to the compartment containing the battery and can replace it. If you have a remote with an emergency key inside, extract the emergency key and use it to pry open the side joint to access the battery compartment.
