In this guide, you will learn how to install an oil seal. First, you need to remove the old ones. To do this, insert a flat-head screwdriver between the oil seal and the camshaft; once inserted, gently lever it out until the piece is extracted. At this point, clean the affected area before proceeding with the installation. Take the new oil seal and apply grease to the inner part that will contact the camshaft; position it correctly (ensure that the small cuts on the edge follow the correct direction of rotation) and place a socket on the outer part. Now, tap with a rubber hammer until it is fully inserted. To install the crankshaft oil seal, as it is larger than the camshaft ones, you cannot use the socket; instead, use the rubber hammer directly.
