Today, when cars have a spare wheel, it is not a normal wheel but a "space saver", and therefore the way to drive with a space saver is not the same as with a standard wheel. The speed limit is clearly marked on the rim, which is 50 mph. When driving with a space saver fitted, the car tends to widen the corners and pull more to the left.
