Why does the engine warning light come on?

When the yellow light illuminates, it indicates a less serious problem, whereas when the red light comes on, it signifies a more serious issue, meaning you should stop the car as soon as possible to avoid damage. The engine light activates when one of the sensors, related to emissions for example, detects an anomaly (such as the turbo pressure being too low or too high, or a blocked particulate filter, etc.). If you turn off the vehicle's engine and restart it, and the light remains on, the issue could be in the electronic system. If the light does not turn off, the best course of action is to visit a mechanic as soon as possible for a diagnosis.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
