The engine light activates when one of the sensors, related to emissions for example, detects an anomaly (such as the turbo pressure being too low or too high, or a blocked particulate filter, etc.). If you turn off the vehicle's engine and restart it, and the light remains on, the issue could be in the electronic system. If the light does not turn off, the best course of action is to visit a mechanic as soon as possible for a diagnosis.

How to Change the Time on an Iveco Daily
