What to Do When the Engine Oil Warning Light Comes On

In this video tutorial, see what to do when the engine oil warning light illuminates on your car's dashboard. When the engine oil light comes on, it means that the oil pressure is too low, and if you do not address this as soon as possible, you risk severely damaging the engine. Required materials: a lint-free cloth (to avoid contaminating the oil with fibres); rubber work gloves; a funnel. When working under the vehicle, always wear protective equipment such as safety glasses. First, work on a flat surface, and ensure the engine is not running; wait for the engine to cool down, lift the bonnet, and secure it with the appropriate prop. Locate the engine oil dipstick; slowly pull it out and clean it immediately with a clean cloth. Insert the dipstick back and leave it in position for about 4 seconds, then remove it again; if it is below the lower mark, you need to top up the engine oil.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after.
