How to Bleed the Engine Coolant

If the engine head has blown, to bleed the engine coolant and arrive at the first mechanic with minimal damage, you can follow this procedure. But first, you may notice these symptoms: the car runs on three cylinders, or white smoke comes from the exhaust, and the water temperature rises significantly. The first thing to do is find the coolant cap; you will hear that the water has evaporated and is under pressure. Adding coolant now is of little use. Instead, we need to release the air through the bleed valve; only after that can we add water (which will be lost anyway) until it comes out of the bleed valve. At this point, replace the valve, put the cap back on, and drive. Go to the nearest mechanic you find to remedy the damage, but this way, you won't make it worse.
