What Does the Brake Warning Light Mean?

The brake warning light can be alarming: on many vehicles, it is two colours; let's see the difference. If the light is red, it indicates a danger signal; it could mean a lack of brake fluid, but it can also illuminate if the ABS system fails (the ABS light will also come on). Try to move very little, slowly and not downhill: also check that the handbrake is not engaged! If the yellow light comes on, it may indicate brake wear, and there is usually enough leeway to reach your trusted garage without worry. However, check that the vehicle is not making any strange noises. If you have some knowledge, you can check the wear of the brake pads yourself, even without removing anything; the drum, however, is not visible.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
