What to Do If the Brake Pad Wear Light Comes On

The first thing to consider is whether you have forgotten to release the handbrake. If so, simply disengage it and the brake light should turn off. If this does not happen, potential causes could be: a faulty connection, which is a simple issue with the electrical system; the float in the brake fluid reservoir, which is more common in older cars; brake fluid below the minimum level. In this case, open the bonnet and remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir. Check the brake fluid level and ensure it exceeds the minimum indicator value.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
