How to Change the Number Plate Light Bulb

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: License plate light

Video tutorial

To change the bulb for the number plate light, you will need a star screwdriver to unscrew the two screws holding the light unit. Remove the bulbs and clean the contacts of the electrical connectors with a suitable spray.

This will eliminate any accumulated oxide that could compromise the functioning of the lights over time. Once the contacts have dried, reconnect them to the new bulb holder.

Before screwing the screws back in, ensure the light works by turning on the instrument cluster, then complete the repositioning of the light unit.
