How to Replace a Key Fob Cover

If the mechanism of the key fob no longer closes, you can buy a new cover (it costs no more than £10 on Amazon, sometimes with free delivery). Remove the cover by prying it open with the tip of a pair of scissors. Take out the circuit board, the battery, and remove the key by pushing on the pin that holds it to the plastic. Then, remove what is essentially a pin with pliers. Open the new cover, following the same procedure, then insert the battery, remove the neutral key using the same method as before, and place it back in the new shell. Reinsert the circuit board and close the cover. Job done.
