On any diesel vehicle, regardless of mileage, there is a manual method to perform a "manual" regeneration of the diesel particulate filter (DPF). You need to drive, cold, on a road that allows you to maintain a constant speed of 50 mph. If the filter is heavily clogged, aim for 43 mph, and at this speed, you must cover at least six miles or run for a minimum of fifteen minutes.
