On any diesel vehicle, regardless of mileage, there is a manual method to perform a "manual" regeneration of the diesel particulate filter (DPF). You need to drive, cold, on a road that allows you to maintain a constant speed of 50 mph. If the filter is heavily clogged, aim for 43 mph, and at this speed, you must cover at least six miles or run for a minimum of fifteen minutes.

This way, the DPF warning light will definitely turn off, as the filter will expel all or most of the impurities that are clogging it.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?
