The engine cooling fan is located at the front of the vehicle and pulls (or pushes) air towards the engine; when the engine reaches about 90/92°C, the fan activates and cools the radiator water. It also serves the air conditioning system, activating at around 40/50°C, even in the middle of winter. On Diesel engines, the fan also cools the DPF, the diesel particulate filter located very close to the engine, which can easily reach 500°C. When the DPF is undergoing regeneration, the fan activates to cool the components, especially the plastic ones, to prevent the risk of fire due to the high temperatures.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after.
