How to Replace a Car Battery

In this video, you will learn how to replace a car battery; the method is generally the same for all internal combustion engine vehicles. You will need a T-bar socket with an extension and a hex key. First, unscrew the negative terminal (the black one) of the battery and move the cable away from the battery to prevent a short circuit. Next, unscrew the positive terminal (the red one). Now, you need to unfasten the battery from the vehicle, which is usually held in place by a bolt or bracket, depending on the model. Here, there is a bolt that you will unscrew, allowing you to lift the battery out. Replace the battery (the old one must be disposed of at an authorised centre), secure it in place, and reconnect the terminals, starting with the positive and then the negative.
