To duplicate a key without the immobiliser function and save a lot of money, as getting a duplicate from the dealership costs around £150. Here’s how to do it: Have two copies of the key made at a hardware store. Then, take some self-locking ties and place the master key as close as possible to the ignition switch inside the plastic casing of the steering column (as shown in the video) and the key will work. The duplicate key lacks a microchip, does not have a code or immobiliser function, but it works. Additionally, you will have an emergency key always with the vehicle.
