In this video, you will learn about the symptoms of a malfunctioning oil sensor: the purpose of the sensor is to measure the oil pressure to ensure the proper functioning of the engine, maintaining lubrication of moving parts and keeping heat low. The first symptom is obviously the illumination of the warning light, and several codes indicating a fault in the sensor are listed: P0520-P0521-P0522-P0523-P0524; these codes can be read using an OBD11 scanner. Another symptom is the oil pressure warning light, and the third is noticing the oil gauge constantly at zero or full. On some vehicles, the needle fluctuates rapidly between the two values.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
