To reset the Climatronic on the Volkswagen Tiguan, first turn on the ignition so you can use the controls on the central dashboard panel. Once the ignition is on, press and hold the ECON button and the button with the icon of the arrow pointing towards the passenger's face simultaneously.

You will notice that the temperature indicators of the dual-zone climate control will darken; after a few seconds, the indicators will return to the previously set temperature, and the air conditioning will be successfully reset.
