How to Replace the ECU in a Volkswagen Passat?

To replace the ECU in a Volkswagen Passat, open the bonnet to access the components located inside the engine bay: at the top, you will find the protective panel at the base of the windscreen. By completely detaching it, you will locate the ECU on the driver's side: disconnect its connectors and unscrew the bolts that secure it to its housing, allowing for complete removal.

This way, you can insert the new ECU, connecting and installing it properly.

How to open the bonnet on a Volkswagen Golf?
