Where is the electronic handbrake control unit located in the Volkswagen Passat?

In this video, you can see where the electronic handbrake control unit is located in the Volkswagen Passat, useful if it is faulty and you need to replace it. To access it, first remove the climate control module trim, then unscrew the screws underneath and pull out the entire unit. Next, dismantle the centre tunnel panels on both sides, remove the rear ashtray, and take out the entire tunnel. At this point, you will have access to the control unit, which is located just behind the gear lever.

How to change the time on a Toyota Yaris
