How do you deactivate the daytime running lights in the Volkswagen Golf 6?

By default, in most cars, we find the function of daytime running lights active, so when the instrument panel is turned on they turn on without having to do anything. For various reasons, however, there are those who prefer to disable this command and turn on the aforementioned lights only when there is really a need and not continuously. Let's see how to do it: Turn on the instrument panel and with the right button on the right side of the steering wheel, access the Settings, select the Light and visibility option with the directional arrows, then choose the Daytime running lights option and finally disable it, removing the check mark in the left box.
