How do you replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Up?

The timing belt of the Volkswagen Up can be replaced by opening the hood, so that it is possible to access the components inside the engine compartment: on the left side of the latter it will be possible to identify the side cover of the engine block, which must be removed by unscrewing the fixing screws. In this way, the underlying belt can be identified, which can be removed by removing the tensioner roller; at this point it will be possible to insert the new belt around the pulleys, repositioning the tensioner roller and verifying that everything is functioning properly.
