How to replace the front brake pads on a Volkswagen Polo 9N

In this video we can see how to replace the front brake pads of a Volkswagen Polo 9N: lift the hood and open the brake fluid reservoir cap, remove the front wheels and lift the front of the vehicle, then remove the dust caps from the brake calipers in order to unscrew them; separate the pads from the brakes with a pry bar; remove the brake caliper. To prevent depressurization of the braking system, tie the caliper to the suspension with a wire, and do not press the brake pedal for any reason. Check the support, guide pin, and dust cover of the brake caliper. Clean and replace them if necessary, then remove the brake pads; take the opportunity to measure the thickness of the brake disc. Clean the brake caliper support from dirt and dust with a wire brush and brake cleaner, press the brake caliper piston with a retractor, then treat the new pads with an anti-squeal paste. Make sure the disc surface is clean, then install the new pads and tighten them with a torque wrench to 35Nm. Reinstall the dust caps, treat the part of the disc in contact with the wheel with copper grease and then reassemble the wheel. We can move on to the other wheel.
