How to repair the windshield washer control on a Volkswagen Caddy

In this video, we see how to repair the windshield wiper control that has stopped working on a Volkswagen Caddy: but the method is valid for all Volkswagen models. Of course, the first thing to do is to check that there is liquid in the windshield washer reservoir, possibly top it up and then try again. If we hear a buzzing sound and nothing happens, then it is likely that the nozzles are clogged; they can be cleaned or replaced. If we don't even hear the pump working, then the problem is probably a fuse, which on Volkswagen models is almost certainly located in the engine compartment; check the exact position in the diagram found in the owner's manual: windshield washer pump. These fuses can also be visually checked, so let's replace it and try again. If the problem is not solved, then we will have to look for the pump located under the wheel arch. The YouTuber shows us the location on various Volkswagen models. Both the pump and the integrity of the wiring and electrical connectors must be checked.
