Guide to replacing the trunk latch of the Volkswagen New Beetle

In this guide, we will see the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace (or repair) the trunk lock of the Volkswagen New Beetle. First, we open the rear hatch of the trunk and start removing the inner panel of the rear hatch; this way we will have access to the trunk lock, unscrewing the fixing screws and disconnecting the electrical connector of the lock to remove it. At this point, we carry out the repair or directly replace the trunk lock, checking its operation and finally reassembling the plastic trim.
