Removing the Boot Lock on the Volkswagen New Beetle

In this guide, we will see the main instructions for removing and replacing the boot lock on the Volkswagen New Beetle, commonly known as the Beetle. First, open the rear hatch and start by disconnecting and removing the electrical connector of the lock; then use a T50 Torx spanner to unscrew the two mounting screws of the lock, as shown in the video. At this point, detach the rear mechanism to remove and replace the lock with the new one, applying the reverse procedure for reassembly!
