Today, we will go through the instructions to dismantle and replace the boot lock on the Volkswagen New Beetle. First, open the rear hatch of the boot and start removing the plastic inner panel or trim by unscrewing all the securing screws.

Next, unscrew the screws of the boot lock and disconnect the cable, as shown in the video. At this point, install the new boot lock, checking its proper operation; finally, reassemble the inner trim of the rear hatch!
