The fuel cap door on the 2014 Volkswagen Golf must be opened only after unlocking the vehicle, as it is also connected to the automated opening and closing of the vehicle. If the vehicle is not unlocked, the fuel cap door will not open. After unlocking the vehicle, we press on the door to open it. To fill up with gasoline, simply unscrew the cap and insert the pump into the tank. Once we have finished filling up with gasoline, we remove the pump and close the cap. Press on the door to close it. If the door does not open, it may be necessary to replace the fuse related to it or unlock the lever from the inside.
