How to Remove the Alternator on a Volkswagen Golf

How to remove the alternator on a Volkswagen Golf? Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it. Locate the battery and disconnect the terminals. Use a socket wrench with the appropriate sockets to unscrew the bolts, being careful not to damage the wiring harness membranes, and unscrew all the mounting bolts of the alternator. Once disassembly is complete, remove it from the engine bay. Now take the new replacement part and insert it into the appropriate housing, tighten the mounting bolts, then tighten the side bolts of the alternator. Check the correct voltage with a tester by connecting it to the battery.
