These brief and simple steps will show us the process of disassembling and replacing the alternator of the Volkswagen Golf 1.6 16V. First, we open the engine hood of the car and start to locate the alternator, located at the bottom right; we remove the battery cover and then proceed to disconnect the alternator belt, as shown in the video. At this point, we unscrew the fixing screws of the alternator to remove it, disconnecting the electrical connector to replace it with the new one (or repair it); finally, we reassemble the alternator, applying the reverse process!
