How to replace the battery of the VW Passat key

To replace the battery of the key on a Volkswagen Passat vehicle, we need to remove the top part of the remote control in order to access its interior and remove the emergency metal key. We then open the remote control in two parts and replace the battery with a CR 2032 model. After removing and replacing the battery, we close the remote control and assemble the metal key inside and the top part of the remote control. We go near the car to test its operation; if it does not work, it may be necessary to reprogram the key.
