In this video we can see how to replace the thermostat of the Volkswagen New Beetle, but the same system is valid for many cars of the Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat group. The thermostat is located near the oil level measuring rod, so we remove the component above it and use a 10 mm wrench to unscrew the thermostat.

Once it has been unscrewed from its pipe, we prepare to recover the coolant that will inevitably come out, and above all to replenish it once the thermostat has been replaced. We can find the replacement part on auto-doc. It for a price of 6.56 euros + 9.90 euros for delivery.
