Replacing the Thermostat on a VW New Beetle

In this video, learn how to replace the thermostat on a Volkswagen New Beetle. Remove the panel covering the engine, then take off the manifold from the cylinder head (as shown in the video). Unscrew the bolts on the thermostat housing cap (use a socket wrench with the appropriate sockets), pull off the sealing cap, and remove the coolant thermostat from its housing. Once the part is removed, replace it with a new one, close the housing with the cap, and securely tighten the bolts with all their parts. Ensure the thermostat is correctly inserted and mounted in the appropriate housing.
