How do you replace the starter motor of the Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 V6 TDi?

In order to replace the starter motor of the Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 V6 TDi, you need to access the bottom part of the engine compartment, so you can locate the starter motor: it will be in the central front part in relation to the engine block, right at the flywheel. Once the mounting screws are loosened, it will also be possible to disconnect the power cables and completely remove the old device; once the old starter motor is removed, you can insert the new one to verify that everything works.
