Replacing the Fuel Filter on a Volkswagen Golf Mk4

Replacing the fuel filter on a Volkswagen Golf Mk4 is a fairly simple task. Place the car on a hydraulic lift so you can work standing up. Unscrew the metal clamp that secures the filter to the car. Before removing the hoses that connect the filter to the tank and the engine, prepare a container to catch any petrol that may spill. Now you can remove the hoses and extract the old filter, then insert the new filter. Reattach the hoses you removed from the old filter to the new one, secure the filter with the metal clamp, and you are done.
