How to reset the engine oil duration on the 2023 Volkswagen Taos from the instrument cluster.

On the 2023 Volkswagen Taos, the oil change interval reset is performed directly from the instrument cluster using the controls on the steering wheel. After completing the service, park the vehicle, engage the parking brake, and turn on the ignition by pressing the start button: the digital display will show a message indicating that an oil change is due. With your right hand, use the buttons on the steering wheel to access the main menu of the central display, then scroll with the arrows to the “Settings” option and confirm by pressing the OK button. Within the settings, go to the “Driving Data” section; from there, using the arrows again, navigate to the submenu where the “Service” option is located. Pressing OK opens the maintenance screen, which displays the options “Reset Oil Change” and “Reset Inspection.” Select “Reset Oil Change” and confirm when the display asks if you want to proceed with the operation: this way, the control unit registers that the service has been completed and resets the oil life. After the reset, you can exit the menu and turn off the ignition; upon the next start of the 2023 Volkswagen Taos, the expired oil change warning will no longer be displayed, and the oil life indicator will restart from the initial expected value.
