How to replace the alternator in the Volkswagen Jetta?

In this tutorial, we will see how to replace the alternator in a Volkswagen Jetta. This is a simple operation but requires good manual skills. First, we open the hood, then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Next, we grab the tensioner with a 16mm socket wrench and, after loosening the tension, detach the belt. After that, we disconnect the indicated power connector, unclip the power steering fluid reservoir, and proceed to unscrew the fastening bolts with a 13mm socket wrench. At this point, all that’s left to do is remove the alternator from its housing, disconnect the terminal, and install the replacement by following the reverse procedure.
